The IUJ Alumni Association electives an Executive Council every 3 years at the February Annual Meeting held in Tokyo. While most of the members are based in Tokyo, this is not an actual rule. Those overseas are also encouraged to participate through email exchanges if logistics prevent face-to-face meetings.
The next election will be in February 2015 to elect the group to serve from April 2015 to March 2018.
The Executive Council has a Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer appointed among its members after the election. They often form a 3-year program, and select subcommittee leaders. Funding for the Executive Council comes from the one-time membership fee each new IUJ graduate pays at the time of graduation, and from the Honorary Membership fees paid by former Exchange/Special students who wish to stay within the IUJ family.
